Allianz Care recently announced five new appointments to senior sales roles globally. As the international health division of Allianz Worldwide Partners, Allianz Worldwide Care specialises in providing international health and life insurance to organisations and private individuals living or working abroad.
The new appointments include:
- Gordon Delaney as Head of Sales for Northern, Eastern & Central Europe
- Michael Baltes as Head of Sales for Germany, Austria and Switzerland
- Cheryl Beattie as Head of Sales for Middle East & Africa
- Tobias Meckert as Head of Sales for Asia Pacific
- Sandra Asin as Regional Head - Latin America
Irish native Gordon Delaney has been with Allianz Worldwide Care for over 13 years. From his original role within the Client Services Department, Gordon progressed from Account Manager and Sales Manager in the UAE to a senior sales role in Western Europe. From his base in London, Gordon will be responsible for sales and distribution across Northern, Central and Eastern Europe.
Michael Baltes, from Germany, has more than 20 years of experience and joined Allianz Worldwide Care in 2007, most recently as Senior Sales Manager. Following Michael’s recent promotion to Head of Sales, he will be responsible for driving business growth in Germany, Austria and Switzerland from his base in Munich.
Cheryl Beattie, a British native with over 15 years of senior sales experience, previously worked for Bupa and GE Capital. Cheryl joined Allianz Worldwide Care two years ago as Head of Sales and Distribution for the Middle East, a role which will now be expanded to include responsibility for Africa. Cheryl is based in the company’s regional hub in Dubai.
Tobias Meckert, from Germany, is based in Singapore, Allianz Worldwide Care’s Asia Pacific hub. Tobias brings a wealth of experience from a number of roles across the Allianz Group in Germany, Russia, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia and most recently, Qatar, where he was General Manager for Allianz Worldwide Care. Tobias will now drive sales across the Asia Pacific region.
Bolivian native Sandra Asin brings over 18 years of experience to her new role, having previously worked for International Health Insurance Danmark a/s (IHI), Bupa, Global Benefits Group and Best Doctors Insurance. Sandra is based in Miami from where she will establish Allianz Worldwide Care’s hub for Latin America and drive business development activities across the region.
Overseeing the recent appointments is Andrew Seale, Head of Global Business Development at Allianz Worldwide Care. Andrew has over 20 years of experience, having previously worked with AXA PPP Healthcare and Bupa Global. He joined Allianz Worldwide Care in 2009 and following time in Dubai and the UK is now based in Dublin. As well as managing the regional sales teams, Andrew is also responsible for developing the company’s global value proposition for the large and mid-sized corporate sector.
