Allianz Partners reinforces its leadership team and makes two new Board appointments

Damien Ladous, CEO Travel  

Most recently Chief Financial Officer and member of Allianz Partners’ Board of Management, Damien Ladous has been appointed CEO for Travel, effective from June 1st 2021.  Joining Allianz Partners from Allianz France in August of last year, Damien has led Allianz Partners’ Finance function through transformative and challenging times. Damien has taken over the role from Ida Luka-Lognoné, CEO of International Health, who successfully led the travel line of business, as well as the International Health business, over the last 10 months.  

Damien joined Allianz France in 2006 where he started in M&A / Corporate Finance before moving to Controlling in 2011. He then joined Allianz SE in 2012 to work on Controlling and Capital Management activities, before moving in 2015 into the Strategy and Portfolio Management team. He was the Head of Planning & Controlling at Allianz France before joining Allianz Partners. 

Julia Unkel, Chief Financial Officer

Effective from June 1st 2021, Julia Unkel has succeeded Damien Ladous as Chief Financial Officer, becoming a member of Allianz Partners’ Board of Management. Julia has played a key role in strategic projects in the areas of Finance, Legal and Compliance since she joined the company in August 2020 as Global Head of Special Projects.

Prior to Allianz Partners, Julia was Head of the Insurance Sector in the Financial Services Leadership Team in PwC since 2018, leading regulatory-driven implementation projects with impact on methods, governance, processes, Data and IT systems.
