 and all branches, operating as “Allianz Partners” (“we”, “us”, “our”), has created this data privacy notice as the controller of candidates’ personal data to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy and to inform candidates about the information we collect and process in connection with your application. 

Our processing activities involve the processing of personal (i.e. data which can be linked/attributed to an individual person, “Personal Data”). Allianz Partners will pay special attention to protect your privacy in the context of these activities. We believe in transparency and we are committed to being upfront about our privacy practices, including how we treat your personal information.

This Privacy Notice sets out which kind of Personal Data will be collected, processed and used by Allianz Partners legal entities, for which purposes, to whom this Personal Data may be shared or disclosed and which rights you, as a data subject, have in this regard.

 

1. Who is responsible for processing of your Personal Data?

AWP Health & Life SA,  located in 15 Joyce Way, Park West Business Campus, Dublin 12, is responsible for the processing of Personal Data of any candidate applications (also if done in group-wide processing activities for the purposes mentioned below).

AWP Health & Life SA is considered a data controller as defined by applicable data protection laws and regulations, i.e AWP Health & Life SA decides the purpose and means of the processing of your Personal Data (each individually and - as the case may be – all together “Data Controller”).

2. Who is the data controller?

A data controller is the individual or legal person who controls and is responsible to keep and use personal data in paper or electronic files. We are the data controller as defined by relevant data protection laws and regulation.

3. What personal data will be collected?

We will collect the following types of your personal data:

 

  • Login details: Username and password
  • Basic personal details, such as first name, last name, e-mail address, phone number, address, city, post code, country
  • Information you provide to us in your CV; for example, work experience (start/end date, name of employers, job title, job description), educational background (start/end date, name of educational institution, degree, marks), etc.
  • Your preferences that you provide to us via our application tool (i.e. the kinds of jobs that you are interested in)
  • Information stored in your social media profiles, as outlined below in section 9
  • Your IP address and browsing behavior as outlined in our corporate cookie policy

  • Any other personal information (including special category data, such as any disabilities that you may have) that you decide to voluntarily enter in your job application profile or include in your CV without being required to do so
  • Identification documents to confirm eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland, such as passport, birth certificate, VISA etc.

4. How will we obtain and use your personal data?

We collect your personal data from the following sources:

  • Directly from yourself 
  • From Recruitment agencies 
  • From our employee’s (as part of our introduction scheme) 

We will collect and use the personal data that you provide to us and that we receive about you (as explained above) for a number of purposes. We provide more information in the following table:

We will ensure that we obtain your express written consent should we ever process your information on the basis of consent. You can change your mind about your consent settings at any time by contacting us as set out in section 10 below.  

We will process personal data we receive about you from third parties such as recruitment agencies, business partners, and fraud prevention agencies. 

We will process your personal data where it is necessary for us to comply with our contractual obligations to you, or where we need to take pre-contractual steps at your request.

We will process your personal data where necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests. “Legitimate interests” means the interests of our company in conducting and managing our business to enable us to give the best service and the best and most secure experience.  For example, we may wish to create anonymised reports so that we can assess, for example, how many people applied for a specific job, without analyzing specific applications. When we process your personal information for our legitimate interests, we make sure that we consider and balance any potential impact on you and your rights under data protection laws. Our legitimate business interests do not automatically override your interests –we will not use your personal data where our interests are overridden by the impact on you (unless we are required or permitted by law). 

Special category data is personal data which is regarded as more sensitive and so needs greater protection, such as medical records. In the event of a medical emergency we may need to share this information with selected third parties such as doctors and hospitals. In such circumstances, where necessary to protect your health, we will process and share such data either with your explicit consent or, where this is not possible; we will do so in order to protect your vital interests.

5. Who will have access to your personal data?

We will disclose your Personal Data to the following recipients or categories of recipients:

  • Recruitment related functions, for example, external recruiters, external/ internal HR Business Partners, and/or external Hiring Managers 
  • Other Allianz Group companies; experts such as lawyers 
  • Law enforcement, government authorities or courts where necessary to comply with applicable laws 
  • We will not disclose your personal data to any party who are not authorized to process them

6. Where will my personal data be processed?

Your personal data may be processed both inside and outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) by the parties specified in section 5 above, subject always to contractual restrictions regarding confidentiality and security in line with applicable data protection laws and regulations.  We will not disclose your personal data to parties who are not authorized to process them. 

Whenever we transfer your personal data for processing outside of the EEA by another Allianz Group company, we will do so on the basis of Allianz’ approved binding corporate rules known as the Allianz Privacy Standard (Allianz’ BCR) which establish adequate protection for personal data and are legally binding on all Allianz Group companies.  Allianz’ BCR and the list of Allianz Group companies that comply with them can be accessed here. Where Allianz’ BCR do not apply, we will instead take steps to ensure that the transfer of your personal data outside of the EEA receives an adequate level of protection as it does in the EEA.  You can find out what safeguards we rely upon for such transfers (for example, Standard EU Model Contractual Clauses) by contacting us as detailed in section 9 below.

7. What are your rights in respect of your personal data?

Where permitted by applicable law or regulation, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data held about you and to learn the origin of the data, the purposes and ends of the processing, the details of the data controller(s), the data processor(s) and the parties to whom the data may be disclosed
  • Withdraw your consent at any time where your personal data is processed with your consent
  • Update or correct your personal data so that it is always accurate
  • Delete your personal data from our records if it is no longer needed for the purposes indicated above
  • Restrict the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances, for example where you have contested the accuracy of your personal data, for the period enabling us to verify its accuracy
  • Obtain your personal data in an electronic format
  • File a complaint with us and/or the relevant data protection authority

You may exercise these rights by contacting us as detailed in section 9 below providing your name, email address, account identification, and purpose of your request.

Where permitted by applicable law or regulation, you have the right to object to us processing your personal data, or tell us to stop processing it (including for purposes of direct marketing). Once you have informed us of this request, we shall no longer process your personal data unless permitted by applicable laws and regulations.

9. Social media import functionality

If you apply via social media (for example, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram etc.) you will be directed to our careers page. You have the option to include a link to your social media if you choose to.  You may also share our vacancies with your own network.
