Celebration of International Day of Diplomats began in Brasilia on October 24th, 2017, initiated by Indian poet-diplomat Abhay K., since then diplomats from around the world have joined in celebrating it annually. The day aims to bridge the gap between the public’s perception and the reality of a diplomat’s life.

Diplomats play a crucial role in shaping a peaceful world by facilitating negotiations, establishing and maintaining international relations, and resolving conflicts peacefully.
