Having someone to talk to during difficult times has a huge impact on your mental health. Did you know that you have access to immediate counselling support via the Expat Assistance programme?

Telling people that you have been diagnosed with cancer can be hard. It often helps to have a few trusted people walk beside you on this journey who can support you.

  • Focus on today’s basics: sleep, hydration, and a short walk if you can.
  • Write down your top 3 questions or worries—save decisions for later.
  • Limit news and social media to set times to reduce anxiety

Contact us and avail a personal oncology case manager- so that we can handle the paperwork while you focus on your health.

To avail our oncology case management services, please choose one of the options below:

That’s absolutely fine. Please let us know about your diagnosis by completing the Enhanced Support Services form—this won’t enroll you in case management, but it ensures we update your records and can support your benefits and authorisations when needed.

Your next steps: A practical checklist to get started with confidence

Firstly, be assured that you are covered for cancer treatment. Our comprehensive oncology cover includes a wide range of internationally accepted treatments and services, which vary from plan to plan.

To check your cover limits, login to MyHealth digital services (app or portal). Once logged in, click on 'My Benefits' to view all benefits included in your plan. You can also consult your Benefits Guide available on the Home page of the MyHealth, simply click on 'View Policy' and then go to 'Documents'.

For most policies pre-authorisation  is required, in some cases it is not necessary but recommended as this process helps us assess each case, organize arrangements with the hospital before your arrival, and facilitate direct payment of your hospital bill where possible. Your personal oncology case manager can help you with this process.

We recommend confirming in‑network oncologists and facilities before you book to optimise your cover and reduce costs. Use the Allianz Care Provider Finder to locate in‑network oncologists, hospitals, imaging centres, and centres of excellence by location and specialty.

Your Case Manager will support you throughout, shortlisting options from the Provider Finder, verifying eligibility, and helping to schedule appointments to ensure your needs are met. If your preferred specialist is out of network, we will review suitable alternatives, explore possible exceptions, and explain any expected costs.

If you already paid for a treatment or direct billing is not available, simply follow this general claiming procedure.

You will have a dedicated Case Manager from our Medical Team to guide you throughout your cancer journey. They will help you stay organised, reduce delays, and feel more in control.

You're likely to meet several different doctors and specialists during your journey.

Cancer support groups connect people living with cancer and their families to share experiences, ask questions, and feel less alone. They offer emotional reassurance and practical tips—ask your medical team for local recommendations.

Bringing in a paid or volunteer caregiver can make daily life and safety easier during treatment, from personal care and meal prep to transport, medication reminders, and basic symptom tracking.

Your treatment plan is individualised based on your cancer type, stage, biomarker results and preferences, and is often reviewed by a multidisciplinary tumour board.
