Meet Atif, Ping Pong Pro and Care Champion

     November 20, 2020

My dad was the person who introduced me to table tennis when I was a kid and I’ve been hooked ever since!
My favourite part is that anyone can play table tennis, It keeps your brain sharp and improves hand-eye coordination. There’s nothing more rewarding than winning a long rally against an opponent.
Table tennis was a way for me to meet new people in Qatar. I was part of a Meetup group where our common interest was table tennis and we used to meet every weekend and play. While I do get competitive, it’s always been a fun way for me to meet new people.
Yes - although you might need my friends and co-workers to vouch for me on this point! It’s a game where you have to think two steps ahead and adjust with every move from your opponent.
Definitely! While a part of the game is speed and power, a huge factor is strategy. You have to try to be two steps ahead of your opponent and guess their next move. It’s a game that develops mental acuity.
I joined Allianz Care in Qatar 5 years ago as a Claims Officer and for the past two years I’ve been working as a Senior Claims Officer.
Rewarding. I’ve met and worked with some amazing people and developed my skills.
Every month we introduce you to a new Allianz Care Champion. People are at the heart of what we do and we think it’s important to showcase the wonderful staff who are here every day to help our thousands of customers across the globe
